I’m Only Dreaming

In my dreams
I find myself
in your arms
but every morning
I wake to an empty bed
~only a dream

I keep looking up to the sky
as if I’m going to find you
up there
on a magic carpet ride
~rest peacefully

imagine
how different
our lives would be
if we didn’t
let fear control us
~we’d be together
